I am incredibly excited to continue my journey serving you as Principal of Tavares Elementary. This year’s theme is Believe to “A”chieve, where all Bullpups, big and small, commit to the belief that all students can learn at high levels through hard work and self-confidence. My passion for building positive relationships with students, families, and community partners is the foundation from which I believe we can achieve greatness. Helping our students grow to become the best versions of themselves starts with being student-centered. I encourage all stakeholders to provide input and feedback to ensure that each decision is based on what is best for all students. I aim to serve our community by strengthening a positive teaching and learning environment through high expectations and positivity. Tavares Elementary is integral to Lake County Schools, and that tradition will continue. Together, we are elevating our school to the next level of success, one “Pawsitive” step at a time.
If you are new to our community, WELCOME! A little about me is that I reside locally with my husband and son, so you may see us out enjoying family time at any one of our local establishments. I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys running or paddling in many of our natural and beautiful environments. As a proud University of South Florida graduate, I began teaching in the Tampa Bay Area, moving to Lake County Schools in October 2014. I am entering my 27th year in education, which includes teaching in the classroom for 14 years, moving into instructional coaching and a professional development trainer for seven years, and then moving into administration. I love what I do and love being a BullPup with you!
Here’s to working together and making 2024-2025 the year we move up our school grade!
