Congratulations to our amazing 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade STEAM Bowl teams! This week, our students represented Tavares Elementary at the Lake County STEAM Bowl, and we couldn’t be more proud of them! They worked hard, showcased their problem-solving skills, and demonstrated outstanding teamwork. Their dedication and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! What a Fantastic Read Across America Day! Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming some amazing guest readers to our school as we celebrated the joy of reading! A huge THANK YOU to all of our guest readers who took the time to share stories with our students—it was truly a special experience. We also want to give a big shoutout to our incredible 5th Grade Ambassadors for doing a fantastic job escorting our readers throughout the morning. A huge shoutout to our amazing Bullpups and teachers! 🎉👏 Our Black History Month display at STEAM Night was truly inspiring, thanks to the dedication and creativity of our students and staff. Your hard work in celebrating Black history made a powerful impact! We also want to recognize all the students who showcased their incredible science fair projects. Tuesday our Kindergarten and 1st grade students listened to storyteller, Tamara Green (https://storytellertamaragreen.com/). She told us about Anansi, a trickster spider, a character rooted in African American folklore a we continue to celebrate Black History Month. The students even participated with their own colorful props! Thank you to the McLin Foundation for funding this interactive storyteller experience!

Get an early start on your Spring Cleaning! TES is now accepting your gently-used clothing donations to assist families in need. We welcome adult and children's apparel - provided the clothing is in clean and wearable condition. All donations will be reviewed, sorted, and gifted to local families in need of assistance. Our Pre-K Trike-A-Thon was a huge success! 🚲🎉 Thank you to everyone who came out to support our little riders today! We had an amazing turnout and are so proud of our Pre-K students for their hard work and enthusiasm. Together, they raised $224.57 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Every dollar makes a difference, and we are grateful for our generous school community. Great job, everyone! ❤️🏅🚲

Another successful Science Fair is in the books! We are so proud of our students who represented Tavares Elementary at The Venetian Center today, competing against schools from across Lake County. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off! Our students brought home two honorable mentions, a 3rd place, two 2nd places, and a 1st place trophy! Congratulations to all of our students for their amazing achievements! Way to go, BULLPUPS!🏆👏🐾

What a Fun Run! 🏃‍♂️🎉 Today, our students took on the Boosterthon Fun Run, racing around the playground in an exciting course designed by Coach Baker! They ran their hearts out to celebrate the success of our fundraiser, and we couldn’t be more proud. Thanks to the incredible support from our students, families, and community, we surpassed our fundraising goal! Your generosity and enthusiasm make a huge difference for our school, and we are so grateful. Great job, everyone! ❤️🐾💪🐾❤️
